Let’s get away and go deeper.
“Maureen created a loving and safe retreat space where I was able to sink deeply into my practice and release a lot of the stress. I highly recommend her retreats.”
EQUAL | PARTS
Auburn Adventure & Recovery Camp
May 1-3, 2026
Equal Parts is a three-day immersion in movement, play, and deep recovery in the Auburn foothills.
Whether you identify as a trail runner, cyclist, hiker, yogi — or simply someone who loves being outside — this weekend is about exploring with intention and restoring just as fully.
We’ll spend our days moving through Auburn’s canyons, forests, and singletrack — running, riding, or hiking at a pace that fits you. Mornings and evenings, we’ll gather for yoga, mobility and stillness.
This retreat honors the full cycle of effort and ease: adventure and integration, stress and repair, challenge and deep rest.
We’ll stay in a collection of cozy Airbnbs tucked into Auburn’s relaxed, outdoorsy neighborhood. Our main gathering place will be a beautiful Creekside home where we’ll come together for:
• Daily yoga, mobility & recovery sessions
• Nourishing group dinners and long-table conversations
• Quiet moments to rest, stretch, and integrate
• Pool plunges and backyard lounging
Auburn sits at the gateway to an expansive trail network that winds through river canyons, oak forests, and wildflower-lined foothills. Over the weekend we’ll explore three distinct zones, offering varied terrain and options — from rolling social miles to mellow scenic hikes.
You’ll choose what your body needs each day.
Food is part of the practice.
You’ll enjoy delicious, simple meals designed to support performance and recovery — and learn evidence-based strategies for fueling endurance training in real life. We’ll share tools for efficient meal prep, smart recovery nutrition, and sustainable habits for busy athletes.
Equal Parts means nourishment that supports both performance and pleasure.
This weekend is for people who:
• Love moving outdoors — however that looks
• Want to build strength and resilience without burning out
• Are curious about balancing effort with recovery
• Crave both community and quiet
• Believe that how we recover matters as much as how we train
Weekend Schedule
Friday — Arrive + Explore + Land
We’ll meet and begin on the trails — a relaxed, social morning of movement through American Canyon. Trail run, ride, or hike at a pace that feels good. This is about connection, not competition.
Afterward, refuel in downtown Auburn, check into your room, shower, nap, journal, wander — ease into the weekend.
In the late afternoon, we’ll gather for Deep Flow Yoga designed for active bodies — mobility, circulation, and gentle integration — followed by a 4-course social dinner highlighting moderate carbohydrates and micronutrients to support recovery from lighter effort days.
We’ll connect, settle in, and set intentions for the weekend ahead.
Saturday — Explore + Restore
The morning begins with a pre-adventure breakfast designed to support sustained energy and digestive ease.
We’ll spend a longer day in the foothills. Choose your challenge: flowing miles, rolling terrain, or a scenic hike. Route options will match different paces and goals.
Afterward, refuel, clean up, and take real downtime. Pool plunge optional.
We’ll gather for recovery-focused yoga before a 4-course social dinner designed for higher load days, featuring high-quality carbohydrates, lean protein, and anti-inflammatory ingredients to support repair and readiness.
Sunday — Integrate + Celebrate
Enjoy balanced morning fuel for steady energy on a lighter day.
We’ll move through a longer integration practice focused on mobility, repair, and sustainable longevity.
Then, an easy-effort sendoff on flowy, low-gradient trails. Run, ride, or hike — soaking in the landscape and reflecting on the weekend.
We’ll close with lunch at a beloved local Cali-Mex spot before heading back to regular life — nourished, restored, and connected.
Come as you are.
Move how you want.
Train, hike, wander, rest.
TRIP LEADERS
Maureen Cane brings a thoughtful, embodied approach to trail running and yoga, blending strength, mobility and rest into a cohesive practice. Her teaching invites athletes to move with curiosity and self-trust — going big when it’s time, and recovering deeply enough to keep going. Often muddy and tired, she moves between California’s coastal trails and the high mountains of the French Alps, with recovery always part of the practice.
Hugh Rodman has been cycling throughout his life, although it took decades to realize that it was way more fun to do with other people. He enjoys balancing a love of new foods with managing consistent recovery from high-volume endurance weeks. One of the few things he's won in this short life was a cooking competition. And he loves trying to get better at asking useful questions!
Jessica Chon became a sports dietitian (RD, CSSD) after learning the hard way that chronic underfueling and overtraining leads to injury and poor performance. Now she’s on a mission to help athletes fuel smarter through evidence-based sports nutrition — while building genuine stoke around food, performance, and how powerfully they can complement each other.
This trip is non-refundable. We’re open to substitutions and happy to help if there is a waiting list.
